A Local’s Guide To Copenhagen
Charming, laid back, and brimming with history, Copenhagen is a must-see stop for intrepid explorers. Tour this Scandinavian gem with expert local guide, Freja. Hop on your bike and let’s go!

I’m Freja! I'm 24 and have lived in Copenhagen my whole life. To me, Copenhagen is one of the best cities in the world. Not just because all my family and friends live here—it’s filled with cute cafés, beautiful museums and parks, amazing restaurants, and stunning architecture. It's close to the water and everything is within biking distance, so you have a lot of freedom and space. It’s definitely unique!
Botanisk Garden
This is the botanical garden. It can be hard to find green space in the city center, and this garden is a peaceful oasis where you can just relax. It’s full of amazing plants and flowers!

Bispebjerg Kirkegaard

Even in the more urban and not-so-beautiful areas, people try to make the streets feel more colorful and alive. This is near my apartment.
La Banchina
La Banchina at the peninsula Refshaleøen is the perfect spot for a chill day in the sun. You can jump in the water from a small bridge, drink wine, and eat snacks to your heart’s content.

Street art in Nørrebro

This is one of my favorite areas. You’ll find a lot of beautiful street art, often with political statements.
Den Sorte Plads
This is a public space in Nørrebro where kids play, you can grill, hang out, and enjoy the sun in the summer. I love it because so many different people from the area go there and enjoy the same space.

Hart Bakery

Copenhagen is known for amazing bakeries and pastries. Hart bakery is one of my favorites.
Marmor Church
This sweeping marble church in the city center took 145 years to build! In my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful churches in Copenhagen.
