These raspberry-flavored sugar candy tablets are distinctly space-age, though they came around a lot earlier! In the early 1900s, Julius Pollak rented a hotel room, where he holed up and started inventing snacks with bizarre and inventive methods. Talk about a brilliant mad scientist! Eventually, with a partner, he created compressed sugar candy, and now you can taste-test his hotel room creation. Inside the packet are round white tablets, perfect to pop into your mouth two or three at a time and let them dissolve on your tongue. Much more exciting than traditional medicinal tablets, and the flavor is a lot better too; sweet and sugary, with hints of raspberry.
