What do we do with your information?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. The website uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart including when you have abandoned your cart and this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.
Consent
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. Security
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
Refer A Friend
Paying customers are offered the opportunity to refer others to Universal Yums. Referrals are tracked in our system through the use of unique URLs, which are assigned to each customer after placing their first order. When another customer visits the website using this unique URL and successfully places an order, a referral is recorded and the new customer receives $5.00 off their purchase. In addition, the customer who made the referral receives a $5.00 credit, to be applied against their next transaction with Universal Yums. Universal Yums reserves the right to add or remove a user’s ability to make referrals, as well as their referral credits. Users are strictly forbidden from sharing their referral link with the general public. In particular, users may not post their link on public social media pages or any publicly accessible website. However, sharing the link on the user’s personal social media profile is allowed. Any user found to be in violation of these terms will have all their referral credits removed, as well as their ability to refer users in the future.
Request Deletion of Personal Data
Users may request deletion of personal data by emailing [email protected]. Upon request, Universal Yums will delete all personal data including the customer's payment information, address, email address, and any other information on file.
